SSX is one of those games that's easy to pick up but hard as all fuck to master. Scoring diamond in the weeklong challenges becomes impossible once the no lifers and the people that are just too damn good at this game have had their way with the same drop for almost a week. I love the global events and the Explore challenges are a riot if you have enough friendly ghosts to compete against. Leading up to the release of the game there was a group of about 200 or so people from /v/ that made a names list for PSN/XBL tags to join up and race so there's always records to beat and egos to bruise.

And seeing hundreds of geotags floating out in the middle of nowhere like virtual "I dare you motherfucker"s is hysterical.

Thank you so much for the answer about the cross-platform interchangeability. I was always wondering that, and seeing that come from the horse's mouth (not that I think Philip's a horse! I don't! I swear!) really helps out!

Good article, I'm completely enthralled with this huge step within the industry. Educating consumers while providing probably the most outlandish idea for a video game since Gary's Mod. I'm more than impressed with the idea, and now that this article has given me a morsel of what's to come I can safely say I'm on the edge of my seat in anticipation.
